April 19.2014 Tog fishing on fire!

April 19.2014
Well Jonathan ended the season with a bang! It was his last time for him to Tog fish this year due to his work schedule so it was must for the fish to cooperate and they did-big time! Nolan, Rudy, Jonathan, and I got an early start and set up. It was a little bit of a waiting game but the current eventually turned and we got on a real hot bite. Making a few moves throughout the day made for a consent catch. We caught around 80-100 Togs all day and we kept or 12 fish limit from 5-8lbs! It was a a banner day. Glad to enjoy it will great friends!

Hurry up and get on the action before the season closes!!

April 18.2014
Today we had Manuel and his three sons aboard for a half day. It was not the most pleasant weather being windy and cold but the fish cooperated. Carlos was the big hitter on the boat hooking and catching the most out of everyone. We Kept Ten Keeper Puppy Drum for the table and Released the rest, It was awesome trip with alot of action and smiles all around. I look forward to seeing them back this summer.

April 14 .2014 Great Tog fishing!

April 14.2014
Went out in the bay this morning despite the wind we were able to get a few hours of fishing in. We got set up and the combination of current and wind made fishing difficult. After about 20 minutes with still no bites we made a move-and it paid off. John and I got on a steady, hot bite. It was a great productive few hours keeping a solid 6 fish limit from 5lbs.-8lbs est. The biggest fish tapped out 23 inches and we released the rest. Called it a day and headed in around lunch time!

Only a couples weeks until Tog season closes book a half or full day trip and get in on this hot action!

April 12.2014 Tog fishing

April 12.2014
It was just one of those days when we should have "zigged when we zagged". We had Fred on the boat with us today. We contemplated our game plan the night prior to the trip. We knew some fish where being caught in the bay but the Ocean has been producing pretty good quality and numbers for us so we where torn between the two. So we finally made the decision to hit the wrecks in the Ocean. We got set up at a few wrecks and wasn't much to it. Had a few bites and pulled a couple fish off. The water temperature was still pretty cool on the bottom so we figured that was the culprit so we headed inshore to shallower water. Finally, we broke some ice and got on a consistent bite but that only lasted for about 20 minutes and then it slowed down. However, we where able to pick away at a couple more fish. Fred was able to scratch the day out with 6 keeper Togs to take home to enjoy with his cold glass of whiskey.

Tog season closes May 1st so call and book your full or half day Inshore Tog trip today!

April 10.2014 Good TOGGING

April 10.2014
Went out Tog fishing again today; you couldn't ask for better weather condition-slick calm and sunny. We really had to grind them out and fish hard today. We fished a handful of hangs and were able to produce some fish. Nolan was the big hitter on the boat today landing his biggest Tog to date, right at 9 lbs. And John followed up right behind him with another fish also right at 9lbs. Throughout the day we caught around 20 total Togs and kept our limit.
Call and book your Tog trip now, season closes May 1st!

APRIL 5.2014 Tog fishing getting Hot!

April 5.2014
I was excited to finally have Jerry Aycock come with us today. It was long over do and glad to see him out on the water again. Jonathan, Joe, Jerry and I loaded up the boat and with the heavy fog and high winds we decided to wait for the wind to die down. So we headed out and got set up at the first wreck. The current was screaming and made it difficult to feel the bite, but we managed to pick a few up. With a slow consistent bite, we made the difficult decision to "leave fish to find fish"-a rule you generally don't break. At the second wreck we realized we made the right decision. Jonathan broke the ice with a solid fish 8.5-9 lbs.. That wasn't the last of the action-Jerry also boated a nice fish that was also 8.5-9 lbs. in which he elected to release to get his first citation for Tog. Overall, we had an outstanding day full of action catching a total of 45-50 tog; keeping our 12 fish limit.

The water temps are rising so the Tog action will be heating up! Call and book your trip.
