Its always a good time with David and his crew on the boat, not only do they bring the best Turkey club subs but they always bring good luck! The day was pretty much none stop action. We kept 4 Cobia for dinner and released the rest including a STUD 61 incher! Congratulations on your big fish, as always I looked forward to our next trip together.

We had Durvin and some of his buddies out for a business fishing trip. The weather made the first half of our trip challenging. We grinned the day out and the weather finally shaped up and we had a great catch. We caught 10 Cobia and kept our limit. Great weekend of fishing biggest was 56lbs!

Another great weekend of fishing. Saturday we had Larry and his two boys back out with us. Fishing was definitely a little slower then their previous trip with us. We grinded the day out and had a great catch we kept 3 nice fish and pulled the hook on a couple others. On Sunday we also had another return client Tuan. He booked us for a half day and it couldn't have gone any better. It was pretty much instant action when we got out. Great fishing with his Don and his crew they traveled from Canada to come catch a Cobia with us. The fishing was red hot they stayed busy fighting Cobia pretty much all day. Great fishing continues. It was perfect sight fishing conditions and the fishing was hot! Jack and his crew stayed super busy fighting fish pretty much all day. Solid Cobia biggest 60.5lbs

July 22. 2015

Mike ate the last of his Cobia from our previous trip last month so his wife told him it was time to go back out with us. It was a banner day. It was defiantly a bumpy ride getting out but it was well worth it. The day was non stop action we caught some beautiful Cobia.  We kept our limit with the biggest being 60 inches long, 60.5lbs we also had a 55 incher that weighed 51lbs and released more up to 47inches! We stopped and a tried a little Flounder spot close to home on the way in but the current wasn't right but we caught one 19inch Flounder. Congrats on your big fish Mike and thanks again.

We had to delay our trip a couple hours for the wind to lay out so we got a late start. It was a great fishing with George and his buddy. It wasn't long we got on our first fish it was just shy of keeper size. The action was consistent throughout our entire trip. July 15 Smoked them!

Awesome fishing yesterday with Jonathan and his crew. We had a young buck aboard thats never caught a Cobia or Flounder well needless to say he left with another addiction! We caught around 15 Flounder with 9 keepers with the biggest 20 inches. With a good mess of Flounder we decided to go Cobia fishing it didn't take long we started whacking them we kept 3 for dinner with the biggest being over 50lbs and released more. The conditions weren't perfect but they were fishable and we fished hard. We had Charles and his crew out with us for a business fishing trip. It didn't take long we fell into the meat after only looking for about 15 minutes. We only got to fish for two hours before a nasty storm sent us in early. July 13. 2015 Cobia Fishing

That's why they call it fishing, not catching! We had Steve and his crew out with us to try catch there first Cobia. The weather wasn't favorable for sight fishing so we went chumming. It wasn't long we hooked up on our first fish, after a long fight and getting the fish out the anchor we got the fish boat side and it spit the hook, the fish was over 50lbs. After getting everything back out our little bit of bad luck continued and we pulled another fish off that was around 20lbs. Finally the rest of our day we turned it around and hooked and caught every bite we had. We landed 3 keeper Cobia and a bunch of sharks. Thanks again guys for hanging in there enjoy your Cobia tacos!

Another great trip with Joe,Dennis and Sandy aboard. Since they have already been several times with us this year Cobia fishing they wanted to spend some time Flounder fishing. So we started the day off Flounder fishing. It was a little bit of a waiting game, for the tide to break down but it was pretty good fishing we caught around 20 Flounders and had 8 keepers with Sandy catching the biggest around 22 inches. With the perfect sight fishing conditions and time left in our day we couldn't resist and we went Cobia fishing. The Cobia fishing couldn't have been any better we weren't in the tower 10 minutes and Sandy caught her first Cobia! The action never really slowed down we kept 3 for dinner and released more and called it a day. Again thanks so much guys for continuing to use Salt Treated to get you on the water!

July 7&8 More Flounder and Cobia!

July 7 & 8 

We had a good time fishing with Mark, John and his son the last couple days. It was pretty tough conditions both days but we had some great fishing. We started trip off Flounder fishing we caught around 15 fish and had 6 keepers with the biggest being 21 inches. Once current started rolling we decided to go Cobia fishing. The Cobia fishing was red hot, we started off by hooking a double out the gate and landing them both and the action never really slowed up all day we kept our limit and called it a early day. On the second day of fishing the weather made it very difficult it was really rough seas and cloudy, however we stuck it out and capitalized on our shots and we landed 4 nice Cobia. Great Flounder and Cobia fishing!

The fishing continues to be off the charts when the weather cooperates! We had a big catch yesterday. We started off Flounder fishing we didn't really hit the tide right, but we managed to catch 7 Flounder with two keepers. The sun broke out so we decided to go Cobia fishing. The Cobia action didn't take long it was pretty much instantly game on! In the short time we Cobia fished before the storm ran us in early we landed 7 fish keeping our limit with the biggest fish being around 50lbs! Flounder Bowl 2015! 5th place.

We didn't win the Flounder Bowl but we fished really hard in some very tough conditions. We caught around 50 fish keeping our 16 fish limit with 11.8lb stringer getting us 5th place out of 81 boats. Also big thanks to Sandman Tackle Shop for sponsoring us!

Cobia and Flounder report

I've been slacking a little on my reports this week. We have started July out great with some awesome fishing. We had David and his two sons out with us for a full day of Cobia fishing. The strong winds made it a little difficult in the morning but we grinded the day out and had a great catch, and sent them home with a cooler full of filets! Yesterday, We had Deon and his buddy out with us. We knew the weather window was small so we headed out early. A lot like our previous trip it was a rough ride getting out. We started the day off Flounder fishing it wasn't a red hot bite but we fished around and caught 5 keepers with the biggest around 20inches. With a little time left in our short trip we went looking for Cobia. It was extremely tough sight fishing conditions but we got managed to catch 3 cobias before it got to rough to fish, and with a box full of meat we called it an early day.
