We had Matt and his crew with us today we headed out knowing it was going to be rough conditions and the weather man wasn't wrong for once. It was a solid choppy sea and glary sky condition that made or day tough but we grind...ed it out and got a few shots. We caught 5 Cobia biggest was 48lbs and pulled the hook on two more and also seen a small pack of Red Drum and hooked a stud and Matt had a great fight on his hands but unfortunately pulled the hook 2 feet from the net but on the bright side they got a great Gopro video. It was a great day with a good group cant wait to have them back!

Got the opportunity to jump on with Willie and his crew we headed out late morning and it was perfect conditions. It wasn't long we spotted our first fish. It was solid pair but unfortunately wouldn't eat. And that issue did...n't just happen to be the case on just those two fish we encountered that problem on many fish during our trip. Throughout the day we managed to catch 8 total and pulled the hook on another, our two biggest fish weighed in at 54lbs and 53lbs!

Keeps getting better today we had Mathew and Jim with us we had high hopes with yesterdays results. We met at White House Cove around 9:00 and headed out. The day couldn't have started off better we were in the process of get...ting some eels rigged up first thing and I looked over a monster pair soaking away we scrambled and got a eel in the mix of both them. Jim battled on the fish after a long hard fight we landed the beast 63 inches! So after that excitement it slowed down and we worked through the tough cloudy conditions and we got another shot Mathew made quick work of it and landed his first solid Cobia! Throughout the day we managed a couple more fish and headed in. We got in touch with John Bishop at the Outpost to get our fish on the scale our big fish weighed in at 67lbs twins from the day before! It was a great day looking forward to having them back!

August 10.2013 First Place!! 67lbs

Today will live with me forever. I had my wonderful dad and girlfriend JJ, and two good buddies Brandon and Chris together to fish the Chesapeake Bay Cobia Classic. We set out with a positive attitude. The water was a little ...choppy, but nothing the weather man said to expect. It wasn't long before we got our first fish on; a solid catch. Throughout the next few hours we caught a few more nice sized fish, but we knew they weren't going to be tournament contenders. Later on in the day the conditions got right and we finally had our shot at a really nice fish. Brandon battled it out and landed him. We were ecstatic. We knew we now had a chance in the tournament. It was smiles all around. We then wanted JJ to catch a fish for the ladies division. We spotted a nice fish and JJ was ready! JJ fought her fish and after a little tiff she managed to get it in the boat and we were confident for her in the ladies category! We headed in with hopes high. On the way in we ran into a torrential down-pour and thunderstorm. We ended up making it in in great timing and weighted our fish. We were very fortunate with the fierce completion and our 67lber took first place and winning the Calcutta! JJ's fish was the largest of the ladies at 49lb! Overall it was an unforgettable day!

What a morning had a half day with Marcus and his son from Alabama. It started off with a bang Marcus son was first up on a solid fish. it continued to be really good fishing with Marcus and his son in all the action. We headed in around lunch time with some solid fish we had 53lb,49lb,48.5lb and 41lber and released more nice fish it was a great day with good people cant wait to have them back!

Finally got some decent enough weather to run a trip. Today Dennis,Joe and his son Jc came out with us it started off pretty bumpy but great seeing conditions. It was on fire out the gate seen a pair and boxed our first fish.... After cleaning up that trend continued we boxed two more solid fish. So after that quick action we had about hour and half dry spell. Then we seen a solid pair and got the big girl to eat after Joe's long fight we got it the boat. It later weighed 64.5lbs at Bishops Outpost! Throughout the day we managed a solid limit a released the rest. It was a great day with a lot of laughs!

August 2 tournament day !

We had David and Dave with us all way from Texas. Both them are extreme Cobia fisherman they travel around the world fishing for them, so who better else to fish in the Va Beach Cobia Cup Tournament with. Fishing wasn't red ...hot but we seen some fish we passed up a lot nice eating fish that we knew weren't tournament material. Throughout the day we kept a limit and caught the biggest fish we seen, our two big fish were 39lbs&42.5lbs We currently are in 3rd place in the tournament. The tournament kept our biggest fish for there fish fry so that's why the dock is lacking our biggest fish..
