After winning the Chesapeake Cobia Classic last year we went in with high hopes. Brandon, Jon, and I headed out at first light and started chumming. We never got any Cobia bites but plenty of sharks. So after the tide died out we started sight fishing. Wasn't long before we got a shot at a absolute monster. However, it wouldn't eat anything. Our luck came around and we had a absolute banner day with some really solid fish. We caught 7 total and pulled a couple off we has 4 over 50 inches and we kept our 3 fish limit all over 50lbs. Our biggest fish was 60" 59.7lbs and had another fish 57" 55-57lbs. We did not win the tournament but had a awesome payday. Out of 100 boats we got 3rd place and we won two of the big fish Calcutta we won $10,100 total it was a great day some of my best friends!!
