We had a awesome day today. Melvin, Joe, Jonathan, and I headed out this morning in full force to do some Flounder fishing. The tide was just right and we got setup and got on a good consistent bite. After the tide slacked up the bite slowed a little, so we decided to go take advantage of the perfect Cobia fishing conditions. It wasn't long before Melvin landed our fist Cobia of the day; a 40 lber. We released one more Cobia. We got a couple cast at some fish that wouldn't eat and unfortunately pulled off a monster Cobia around 70-80 lbs. So with the tide about to change we decided to go set back up for Flounders and glad we did! We got on another great bite and I lucked up and hung a nice one 25.5", 7 lbs. Thankfully Jonathan was prompt with the net job because the fish spit the hook at the boat and he got it in the net. We caught a total of 40-45 flounder kept 16 and caught two Cobia kept one. Another great day with good people.
