Some amazing fishing in tough conditions with James and his family. It was a bumpy ride out but well worth it. We pulled the first fish of the day off however after that it was all up hill. In our short trip we caught a nice limit. James lucked up and caught his biggest Cobia to date 63lbs! Jame's big fish went crazy on deck and slung a hook into Justin's hand. So with having a limit and a hook still in Justin's hand we decided to run in early.

August 18 & 19th Good fishing continues!

August 18 & 19th

It's been some good fishing the last couple days. We had Matt and his crew out with us, we faced some pretty tough sight fishing conditions. We started the day off catching a limit of Spadefish. On the way home we lucked out and got a couple shot's at Cobia we landed one and pulled another off. On Wednesday we had Rick and the two young bucks out with us. Again it was overcast conditions but we took advantage of the short window of it being slick calm and got on a great Cobia bite! We kept a limit with biggest around 50lbs and released the rest. After the wind started to breeze up we went after Spadefish it didn't take long for that action to kick off. We topped the day off catching a limit of Spadefish and called it an early day. August 17th Limit of Spadefish and Cobia up to 55lbs

August 17 2015 

Started the day off with some bad luck but we turned it around and had another stellar catch! We had Charles his family and friend Lee out with us. Kids wanted some action so we started the day off catching a limit of Spadefish. Once we had enough of that we started looking for Cobia, we got lucky and caught a 40 pounder not 15 minutes into fishing. It was a small dry spell but we found some fish and started getting them we kept a limit of Cobia up to 55lbs! August 14th - 16th GREAT FISHING!!!

Recap August 14th - 16th

Another great weekend of fishing in the books. The weather and the fishing was absolutely perfect. We started off Friday with Jermey and his crew out with us for two day's. We started our trip off catching Spadefishing and caught our limit within the first hour. Once we had a limit we went Cobia fishing the first day we caught 14 Cobia and had 4 over 50 inches on Saturday we only fished a Halfday with Jermey and his crew we caught a limit of Spadefish and two Cobia and pulled the hook on a couple more. We got back to the dock around lunch time with the perfect conditions we couldn't resist so my parents and a couple friends headed back out for a couple hours. It was a great time Ashley got to catch her first Cobia and Jacklyn got to catch her biggest Cobia to date. To top it off with my Mother caught her first Cobia citation that we decided to release, the fish measured 54.5 inches! Sunday we had Vikki and crew out with us. Started the day off the same way we scratched out a 5 man limit of Spadefish in the morning then went Cobia fishing. It didn't take long to get hooked up on the first Cobia of the day we saw a triple and hooked a double in the first 10 minutes of fishing. The action stayed pretty consistent all day. We kept a limit of Cobia and released some solid fish up to 53 inches!

August 14th Stellar Day!!!

Some really first class fishing! Started the day off whacking the spadefish caught around 50 and kept our 5 man limit within the first hour of fishing. After that we went looking for Cobia it was perfect conditions and the fishing was as good as it gets. We topped our amazing day off catching 14 Cobia keeping our limit and released several real nice fish with two of them over 50 inches! Stellar day guys thanks for choosing Salt Treat Sport Fishing!

August 13th Kids caught some fat ones! 3 over 50!

Couldn't have asked for better fishing to get two young bucks hooked for life! It was some world class fishing and we caught some solid fish to top it off. August 12th Good fishing!

August 12 2015 

After getting canceled 2 times due to weather this year, Larry's trip finally came through. It was a really rough ride getting out but it was worth it. Fishing started off slow but it all came together and we stayed busy fighting fish. We kept 3 for dinner up to 35lbs and released them up to 44 inches. Thanks again Larry I look forward to seeing you again next year!

August 10.2015 biggest fish was 57lbs

Dennis has had bad luck with weather this year and being able to fish with us, but luckily the weather co-operated enough with us yesterday. The window for fishing wasn't large, but it was just big enough for Dennis to put some meat in his freezer! We had a good catch in the short time that we fished, and Jude even got to catch one that was 57 pounds conditions got worse called it a day around lunch time. Look forward to seeing you guys soon!

August 9th Cobia Tournament!

August 9 2015 

Couldn't have asked for better conditions on tournament day but we just never got the shot at the big girl we needed. We had David and his crew out with us to fish the Cobia tournament. The fishing was super good. Everywhere we went we saw fish, just not the really big fish we needed to put us in the money. It was still a great day on the water with awesome company. August 5th Report

The weather definitely made it a challenging day with the overcast cloud coverage. We had Chris and his two boys out with us in hopes of caching a Cobia. Unfortunately we had some bad luck throughout the day with the rubber hook syndrome in full force. We pulled 5 fish off right at the boat and one of them being a really nice fish after a 25 minute fight. Failure wasn't an option, we stuck it out and we put fish in the boat and had a good day. Thanks a lot guys I hope you enjoy your fresh Cobia. See you again next year!

August 2.2015 Cobia report

August 2 2015

We had Patrick and his family out with us for a Cobia trip. It was a pretty miserable ride out but definitely worth it in the long run. Not after 15 minutes of fishing we hooked up on our first fish. Throughout the entire trip it was non stop action! We ended up catching 13 Cobias with and our limit and releasing the rest. July 30,31 report and Cobia Cup! Great fishing

I have been slacking on my post. It's been some really good fishing the last few trips and we have caught our limit of Cobia and released many other quality fish everyday. July 30th We had our favorite rowdy Easten Shore group out with us, it was perfect weather and the fishing was world class. We caught ALOT of Cobia and kept them to 45lbs and released them to 50 inches. July 31, we had Adam from Philadelphia out with us with the goal to catch a Cobia it didn't take long we got in to them we caught them to 40 lbs and released more. August 1st, Jon,Brandon and I fished the Cobia Cup tournament. We fished really hard and caught the biggest fish we saw. Our two fish weren't big enough to get us in the money they weighed 45.1, 44.6 lbs. Big thanks to East Coast Ship Repair for sponsoring us.
