We had Andrew and his crew out with us today in hopes for everyone to catch there first Cobia. The conditions where perfect and the fish cooperated. We left the dock around 9 and it was pretty much instant action out the gate! By lunch time everyone on the boat caught there first Cobia and we had our 6 fish limit in the box. The rest of the day we spent releasing more fish. It was a great day thanks alot guys!

August 29 2014 More Cobia!

Cobia fishing continues to stay strong. Today we had David and his crew out with us. Like the previous couple trips the ride out was a little bumpy, but worth it. Unfortunately, we had a little tough luck starting out we pulled a couple nice fish off and couldn't get some to eat. The day ended up turning around and we had a great catch we caught 8 Cobia and kept plenty to eat with the biggest around 45 lbs! Thanks again guys see y'all soon.

August 28 2014 Great catch!

August 28 2014 
Our charter cancelled last minute so we decided to go fun fishing. Brandon, Amanda, Jon, Ryan, my Dad and I left the dock around nine. It was about as rough as it could get. We stopped the boat and talked about turning around. While we were talking a fish swam right past the boat, we hooked the fish and Ryan got to catch his first Cobia! It didn't stop from there, we continued to see multiple fish and the action never slowed. We were definitely glad we didn't turn around, we ended up catching a dozen Cobias keeping 6 with the biggest 52lbs, and releasing Amanda's beautiful 53" incher for a release citation. It was a great day with good people!

August 27 2014 Insane Cobia fishing!

August 27 2014 
Cobia fishing doesn't get much better and we had a comedy central crew to top it off! We had Dave, David, and Will out with us and it was pretty much nonstop action the entire day. From hooking singles, doubles, triples, andeven a quad, the action was excellent. We landed over 20 Cobia today; some of the best numbers I've seen in the bay this year. It was incredible fishing. Our day really got interesting after our net went swimming and we had to lip all the fish the rest of the day. We kept our 5 fish limit with the biggest around 50lbs and released many, many more-even up to 55 inches! I can't wait to enjoy my brand new complimentary net thanks to "Free Spool." August 26 2014 Back in the grind !

Haven't done much fishing in the bay this past week. I pre-fished and fished the Virginia Beach Billfish Tournament with the Delta Dawn Crew. And the strong NE winds have kept us at the dock the last couple days. Today I hadMelvin,Brian and Craig out with us. It was pretty rough conditions and the "fasten seat-belt " sign was on pretty much all day which made getting right on fish very difficult. We pulled it off in the tough conditions and had a great catch. We caught 8 total and pulled a couple off and kept our 4 fish limit with the biggest around 50- 60lbs! Thank again guys hopefully next time its not rough seas!

August 18 2014 Great day with some solid fish!

We had Joe and his friends back out with us for there annual Cobia trip. After seeing the cloud coverage and radar we thought it was going to be a really tough day. But we where soon to be mistaken for the better. It was consistent action all day. Alot like the past few days there where times where we would be fighting fish and casting and hooking other's. We kept a limit with the biggest around 50-55lbs and we released many more and almost everyone on the boat got a release citation up to 54 inches. Thanks again guys see yall soon!

The Cobia fishing continues to stay amazing. Today we had Phil, Larry and Larry Jr. out with us in hopes to catch a Cobia. It started out a little slow for us we pulled a couple off and missed a few fish. It wasnt long we kicked that bad luck to the curb and started working on them. The bite stayed consistent for the rest of the day. Many times while we where fighting a fish we would be casting and hooking others. We kept plenty to eat with the biggest around 50lbs and we released alot of nice fish up to 52.5 inches. With everyone on the boat wore out we called it a early day and headed in. Thanks again Larry for treating us to dinner. I look forward to having yall back out with us soon!

August 16 2014 Awesome fishing!

We had David and his crew out with us. With Phil's request, we started the day out Flounder fishing. Despite the poor conditions we were still able to catch handful of flounder keeping 1 and a nice trigger fish. After a dry spell we decided to go Cobia fishing. The Cobia bite doesn't get much better. We pretty much instantly started catching fish. Throughout the rest of our day we caught around 15 Cobia and we kept enough for everyone to eat a released the rest it was a awesome day thanks a lot guys see y'all soon!

August 15 2014 Turned around!

August 15 2014 
David and Dave were back in town for their annual fishing trip. We began fishing and the conditions were terrible. We were unable to sight fish for half of the day. Around lunch time the sun finally came out and we were able to turn the day around. We caught a handful of fishing and the kept three for dinner. We were glad the day turned around for them and hopefully we can get David that 80 pounder next year!

We had the power house crew today. It was another action packed day we had Chris and his daughter and a few buddies out with us. It was pretty much consistent catching all day. We caught 15 Cobia with the biggest around 50lbs. We kept enough for everyone to eat and released the rest! Unfortunately we did get a shot at a 80lber but it spit the hook on us. Even with that minor set back it was a remarkable day and we cant wait to have them back out with us thank you guys.

August 13 2014 Awesome Cobia fishing!

August 13 2014 
Cobia fishing doesn't get much better than our day today. The last couple days the weather has kept us at the dock so we where eager to get out. We had Dan and his wife and two friends from New Mexico with high hopes to catch a Cobia with us. From the moment we slowed down it was game on! We started our day hooking a double out of a triple and landing them both and boxing our first fish about 40lbs. It was non stop action for the rest of our trip hooking singles, doubles and even a triple header. We kept our 6 fish limit with the biggest being 50-52lbs! We released MANY more and one being a STUD 64 incher! estimated (70-75lbs) after reviving it on a rope for about 10 minutes we watched her swim away hopefully we get to catch her in a couple years! With everyone on the boat absolutely wore out we called it a early day thanks again guys cant wait to have yall back!

August 9 Cobia Tournament and big fish!

August 9 2014 
After winning the Chesapeake Cobia Classic last year we went in with high hopes. Brandon, Jon, and I headed out at first light and started chumming. We never got any Cobia bites but plenty of sharks. So after the tide died out we started sight fishing. Wasn't long before we got a shot at a absolute monster. However, it wouldn't eat anything. Our luck came around and we had a absolute banner day with some really solid fish. We caught 7 total and pulled a couple off we has 4 over 50 inches and we kept our 3 fish limit all over 50lbs. Our biggest fish was 60" 59.7lbs and had another fish 57" 55-57lbs. We did not win the tournament but had a awesome payday. Out of 100 boats we got 3rd place and we won two of the big fish Calcutta we won $10,100 total it was a great day some of my best friends!!

We had Frank Ricky, Bobby and Frank out with us today, It was extremely tough sight fishing conditions for most of the day. But the day started out pretty good. We saw a triple hooked two unfortunately Franks fish (45-50lber) spit the hook at boat and we landed a 36.5 incher. Wasn't much later we saw another 30-35 lber that also spit the hook on us. We turned our luck around and ended up catching 6 Cobia and kept 2 for dinner releasing the rest. Thanks alot guys see yall soon!

Jon and I wrapped up filming with George Poveromo. I'm glad I was given the opportunity to fish with such a great group of people. I would like to thank "Mack Daddy" Kevin, Mr.Miller and George for such an unforgettable experience. We fished hard and had some tough luck at the begging but it all came together and we caught some fish and got some awesome footage. I cant wait to see it put together. Thanks alot guys! 

Aug 3 2014 Red hot flounder bite and a cobia!

It was a day of non stop action. Today we had Paul and his family out with us for a full day. The plan was to Cobia fish but with the overcast conditions we switched it to Flounder. We got set up and immediately started catching fish. The bite never really slowed up and we caught around 30-35 Flounders and Had 21 keepers with the biggest being 5.5lbs! With a box full of Flounder we left them biting to spend a little bit of the day trying to catch a Cobia. In the bad conditions we lucked up and caught a nice fish out a pair and boxed a 35lber and headed in thanks again guys it was a good time!

Aug 1 2014 Awesome flounder fishing

After blowing my lower unit out Wednesday and having to cancel my charter yesterday we spent all day getting back in business thanks to Daves Marine. We where ready to go today. I called our charter for today this morning afterlooking at the radar to let them know it was going to be a little wet and Cobia fishing wouldn't be to productive so they rescheduled for a nicer day. Well with the boat loaded ready to go Dean,Jon and I headed out for a quick trip. Wasn't long we started catching fish and it never slowed down we had awesome class of Flounder today. We caught around 20-25 total and had our 12 fish limit in the first hour of fishing with 2 fish over 5lbs and one over 6lbs. We called it a early day and was home by lunch time! Hopefully the weather cooperates next time David.

July 30 2014 Good Cobia fishing

July 30 2014 
Awesome class of fish today. We had Anthony, Kosta, George, and George Sr. out with us for a half day. Didn't take long we got into some awesome fishing. Our first fish of the day was George Jr.'s not only was it his first but it was also the biggest of the day a solid fish 56" with a 25" girth 55-60 lbs.! that wasn't the only big fish for the day. With plenty of meat in the box they elected to release anything else we caught we also had two release citations today a 54" and 52.5" we caught a total of 11 today and kept one for dinner and released the rest thanks again guys see y'all soon!
